Welcome to Sumukam;s Blog
வணக்கம் നമസ്കാരം नमस्ते
A couple of years ago, in my quest to learn and understand Vedanta, I started searching the world wide web and found plenty of materials on the subject. Since then, I had been ‘religiously’ learning about Vedanta and had been collecting huge volume of such materials.
I am certain, there are many out there who like me, are in search of knowledge about Hinduism and are constantly searching the Net for materials. Since I have these readily available with me, why not place them in one place from where everyone can easily access and benefit from them? That is the purpose of this blog.
Here various materials on Hinduism are categorized and placed under:
All credits go to those who originally uploaded these materials on the web and I have only attempted to collect t and compile them in one place. Please visit this blog periodically since I plan to add more materials regularly.

Today is Pongal and on this auspicious day, a Net Group under Yahoo is being launched as a companion to our blog.
Sumukam’s Blog was started some fifteen months ago and since then, scores of Bhakthas had visited the Blog and shared their views and thoughts. However, a Blog is quite restrictive for any one viewer to share his/her thoughts elaborately and extensively with others. But a post by a member of a Group in it can reach all other members who in turn, can respond and the ensuing correspondence of interest and benefit to others.
Please share your views, interests, opinions and needs relevant to our common interest – Hindu devotion. Let us share a link to an Upanyasam you came across on the Net, or a program schedule of Sri. Nochurji, or your own analysis of some verses of Viveka Chudamani – let us have it. Let this Group be the meeting place for all of us whose common path and goal is Hindu devotion.
Group address: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sumukam/

As the contents of this Blog grow, we thought that it would be a good idea to add a new post each week to announce the new uploads for that week. Almost all the following discourses were graciously shared by kind Bhakthas. Many, many thanks to them.

It is gratifying to see that the contents of this Blog have been quite useful to the hundreds of bhakthas who visit this Blog each day. Of late, some of you have commented that some discourses herein are missing some parts. These Hindu devotional materials (Upanyasamas, Slokas , Mantras & Bhajans, Scared Texts etc.) have been in our possession, collected over the course of the past few years and unfortunately, some of the Upanyasams (just a handful) are not complete.
This is an appeal to all friends of this Blog that if you happen to have these missing parts, please share. Also, if you have any devotional materials (Upanyasams etc.) not found in this Blog, please share. You may send us links to those via your comments.
